Abstract: In today's rapid development of science and technology era, digital surveying technology has become a revolutionary progress in the field of coal mine surveying and mapping. This paper deeply discusses the application of digital surveying technology in coal mine surveying and mapping, especially the integration and application of GPS (global Positioning System), GIS (Geographic information system) and whole station surveying and mapping system. The introduction of these technologies not only greatly improves the accuracy and efficiency of surveying and mapping work, but also provides strong technical support for the safety of coal mine production. By analyzing the practical application cases of digital surveying technology in coal mine surveying and mapping, this paper shows how these technologies can help coal mine enterprises to optimize the allocation of resources, improve mining efficiency, and effectively prevent and control the occurrence of coal mine accidents. In addition, this paper also discusses the challenges faced by digital surveying technology in coal mine surveying and mapping, such as the rapid upgrading of technology, lack of professionals, data security management and so on, and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures.
