Abstract:
The tensioning device plays a role in satisfying the starting and running of the belt conveyor without slipping and limiting the droop of the conveyor belt. The design should follow the principle of "minimum force, simplest structure and easy control of travel", and the configuration should be selected in the direction of maintenance-free. This paper calculates and deduces the tensioning force for the different tensioning positions of three types of belt conveyors. This paper systematically expounds where the tensioning position of different types of belt conveyors should be set in a more reasonable way, illustrates the advantages and disadvantages of the tensioning arrangement of belt conveyors with examples, and lists the configuration selection table for the industry as a technical reference.
