In the process of coal mining in our country, composite roof coal seams are more common. With the advancement of coal mining, shallow resources are increasingly depleted, and mining activities are developing towards deeper areas. Under the conditions of "three highs and one disturbance" in deep areas, the maintenance of composite roof is more difficult, often resulting in separation, large roof subsidence, and even roof collapse accidents. Based on this, this article takes the
5723 working face as the research object, applies theoretical analysis and numerical simulation methods to study the control effect of anchor rod and cable parameters on the composite roof rock layer, and improves the original support scheme of the working face. After on-site practice verification, The deformation of the surrounding rock of the roadway meets the relevant operating regulations of the coal mine.
