Research on Safe Mining near Water Body in Working Face 1313(3) of Guqiao Coal Mine

    • Based on hydrogeological data and using empirical formulas, a study was conducted on the safe mining of the 1313(3) working face near the water body of Guqiao Coal Mine. According to the pumping data, the unit water inflow range of this borehole is 0.2953-1.342 L/(s·m), with moderate to strong water yield; The thickness of the red layer is 1.0-3.1 m, with a unit water inflow of 0.00069 L/(s·m) and weak water yield. Therefore, the water mining level of this face should be classified as Class I, and waterproof coal and rock pillars should be left. Based on the lithological characteristics of the top and bottom plates, it is determined that it belongs to the medium hard type. Based on numerical simulation and on-site measurement comparison methods, it is determined that the maximum waterproof coal and rock pillar height of 74.4 m should be left, which is less than the actual minimum waterproof coal and rock pillar height of 85.0 m left on the face. Therefore, mining is safe and feasible.
