    Research on the damage mechanism and control technology of the peripheral rock of large cross-section roadway with broken roof plate

    • In order to solve the problems of big deformation and difficult support for the peripheral rock of the roadway with large section of broken roof plate, the original support technology parameters of the roadway were optimised based on the deformation mechanism of the peripheral rock of the roadway and the arch-beam coupling support technology with the research object of the roadway of 8309 back to the wind roadway of Shanxi Xinjingmining Coal Co, Ltd, and the numerical simulation verified the reasonableness of the technical parameters. Numerical simulation verified that the technical parameters were reasonable. According to the on-site monitoring results, the maximum values of the top and bottom plates approaching and the two gangs converging were 69 mm and 55 mm respectively, which effectively controlled the deformation and damage of the peripheral rock of the roadway with a large cross-section of the broken roof plate.
